Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 21, 2026
At Terpeneers, we respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Terpeneers LLC (“Terpeneers,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit our website, make a purchase, sign up for our communications or otherwise interact with us (together, the “Services”). It also explains the choices and rights you have. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this policy. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service; if the two conflict on how we handle personal information, this policy controls.
1. Who We Are
Terpeneers LLC, based in Brooklyn, NY, United States, is responsible for your personal information and is its “controller” under applicable data protection laws. Our store is hosted on Shopify. You can reach us at info@terpeneers.com. Our postal address is listed in our Legal Notice.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us:
- Contact details, such as your name, email address, phone number, and billing and shipping addresses.
- Order information, such as the products you buy and your order history.
- Account information, such as your login details and preferences, if you create an account.
- Communications, such as messages you send us, photos you submit for a defect claim, and reviews or feedback.
- Marketing preferences and consent records, such as whether, when and how you subscribed to our emails or text messages.
Payment information: Payments are processed by Shopify and its payment processors. We do not receive or store your full card number. We receive limited details, such as the card type, last four digits and payment status.
Information collected automatically: When you use the Services, we and our service providers automatically collect information such as your IP address, device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address, pages viewed, links clicked, items added to your cart, purchases, referring website, and the date and time of your visit. We collect this through cookies, pixels and similar technologies (see Section 4).
Information from others: We may receive information about you from our service providers, production partners, shipping carriers, payment processors, and advertising and social media platforms, including when you interact with our accounts or content.
Sensitive information: We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, such as government ID numbers, health information, precise geolocation or biometric data. Please don’t send it to us.
Accuracy: You are responsible for making sure the information you give us, including your shipping address and phone number, is accurate and that you have the right to provide it.
3. How We Use Your Information and Our Legal Bases
We use personal information to:
- Process and fulfill your orders, including payment, production, shipping, delivery updates, and handling defect claims, replacements and EU/UK cancellations. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Provide customer support and respond to your messages. Legal basis: contract and our legitimate interests.
- Send marketing emails and text messages where you’ve agreed to receive them, or emails where the law otherwise permits. Legal basis: consent, or legitimate interests where permitted.
- Show you relevant ads on our store and other websites and platforms, and measure their results. Legal basis: consent where required, otherwise legitimate interests.
- Improve and personalize the Services, including analyzing how visitors use our website. Legal basis: legitimate interests, or consent where required for cookies.
- Prevent fraud and protect our business, including verifying transactions, investigating chargebacks, keeping records of consents, and establishing, exercising or defending legal claims. Legal basis: legitimate interests and legal obligations.
- Comply with the law, including tax, accounting and record-keeping obligations, and respond to lawful requests from authorities. Legal basis: legal obligation.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we’ve balanced our interests against your rights. You may object to this processing as described in Section 12. We do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing.
4. Cookies, Pixels and Tracking Technologies
We and our partners use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to operate the store (for example, keeping items in your cart), remember your preferences, understand how the Services are used, and deliver and measure advertising. This includes analytics tools and advertising pixels from social media and search platforms, which collect information about your activity on our store, such as pages viewed and purchases, so those platforms can show you relevant ads and measure their results.
Where the law requires it, such as in the EU and UK, we ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies and pixels, and you can change your choices at any time through our cookie banner or your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the store works.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: There is no common industry standard for responding to browser “Do Not Track” signals, so we don’t respond to them. Where required by law, we treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising.
5. How We Share Your Information
We share personal information only as described here:
- Service providers who process information on our behalf and under our instructions, including Shopify (our e-commerce platform), payment processors, Klaviyo (our email and text message marketing platform), analytics providers, and customer support tools.
- Production and fulfillment partners, including Printful and Ninja POD, who receive the details needed to produce and ship your order, such as your name, shipping address, phone number and order contents.
- Shipping carriers, such as USPS and DHL, to deliver your order and provide tracking.
- Advertising and social media partners, to show you relevant ads and measure their effectiveness. These partners may use your information under their own privacy policies.
- Legal and safety purposes: where required by law, court order or other legal process; to enforce our Terms and policies; to investigate fraud or chargebacks; or to protect the rights, property or safety of Terpeneers, our customers or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy or sale of all or part of our business, in which case your information may be transferred to the new owner subject to this policy.
- With your consent or at your direction.
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, sharing information with advertising partners for targeted advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under some U.S. state privacy laws. You can opt out as described in Section 12.
6. Summary for U.S. State Privacy Laws
In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information, from the sources and for the purposes described above:
- Identifiers, such as name, email address, phone number, postal address and IP address. Shared with service providers, production partners and carriers; shared with advertising partners for targeted advertising.

We keep each category for the periods described in Section 11.
7. Shopify
Our store is hosted by Shopify, which processes personal information to provide and improve its services to us. Shopify also offers certain features that combine information from your interactions with our store and with other merchants. For those features, Shopify acts as an independent controller and is responsible for its own processing. To learn more, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. You can exercise certain rights over Shopify’s processing through the Shopify Privacy Portal.
8. Email and Text Message Marketing
If you subscribe to our emails or text messages, we’ll send you news, promotions and updates using Klaviyo. By subscribing to text messages, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing messages at the phone number you provide. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any marketing email.
We do not sell or share the phone numbers or text-messaging consent you provide to third parties for their own marketing. We keep records of your consent, including when and how you gave it, to show we comply with the law. If you change or give up the phone number you subscribed with, please unsubscribe or let us know. Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still send you messages about your orders and account.
9. Reviews and Public Content
If you post a review, comment or other content on our store or social media pages, it may be publicly visible and can be read, collected and used by others. Please don’t include personal information you don’t want to make public.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The Services are intended for adults who have reached the age of majority where they live. If we learn that we’ve collected personal information from a child under 13, or from a minor without required consent, we’ll delete it. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us at info@terpeneers.com.
11. Data Security and Retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. Please don’t send sensitive information, such as card numbers, by email. If a security incident affects your personal information, we’ll notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. That includes completing orders, handling claims and chargebacks, maintaining your account, keeping records of marketing consent, and meeting legal, tax and accounting obligations, which can require keeping order records for several years. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
12. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Delete your personal information.
- Data portability: receive your information in a portable format or have it transferred to another company.
- Opt out of targeted advertising and the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information, including through our “Do not sell or share my personal information” link or a GPC signal.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, including processing based on our legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it. This doesn’t affect processing done before you withdrew it.
- Appeal our decision if we deny your request.
How to exercise your rights: Email info@terpeneers.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” To protect your information, we’ll verify your identity before acting on a request, usually by matching information you provide with information we already have. You may use an authorized agent; we’ll require proof of the agent’s authority and may ask you to verify your identity directly. We’ll respond within the timeframe required by law, generally within 30 days for EU and UK requests and 45 days for U.S. requests, with extensions where the law allows.
These rights aren’t absolute. We may decline or limit a request where the law permits, such as when we need to keep information to complete an order, comply with a legal obligation, prevent fraud, or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We won’t discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
13. International Data Transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers and partners may process personal information in the United States and other countries. These countries may have data protection laws different from those where you live. When we transfer personal information from the EU, UK or Switzerland, we rely on recognized safeguards, such as adequacy decisions, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where our providers participate, or Standard Contractual Clauses.
14. Third-Party Websites and Services
The Services may link to or integrate with third-party websites, platforms and services, including social media. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please review their privacy policies before sharing information with them.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology or the law. We’ll post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. If we make material changes, we’ll provide additional notice as required by law. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you acknowledge the updated policy.
16. Language
This policy is written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version controls to the extent permitted by law.
17. Contact Us and Complaints
For questions, requests or complaints about this policy or our privacy practices, email info@terpeneers.com. We’ll do our best to resolve your concern. If you’re in the EU or UK and aren’t satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In the UK, that’s the Information Commissioner’s Office. EU authorities are listed on the European Data Protection Board’s website.
